actually, i have the same problem, and am using stuffit expander. it expands as a folder with the same title as the zip file (show name/date) but is an empty folder with no contents, despite the zip file being nearly 1 gig. i can't figure out what's wrong. any help...

I've had that problem before. Delete the folder make sure you are using StuffIt Expander 8.0.2 and try again. If you are running Panther try using BOMArchiver. I think that's the name.

It's in /System/Library/CoreServers/ The icon says .zip on it. I know it has BOM in the filename but I don't remember the exact name of the file.
